Join The Greenhouse Project for Vegetable Gardening 101, a beginner-level gardening series designed to connect us to our sustaining roots. Our instructor is Lanie Garner-Winter from Our Sustainable Family. Lanie will share her decades of homesteading experience regarding how to propagate plants; prepare the soil; plan for a spring and fall garden; harvest the fruits of your labor; save seeds; and manage your expectations.
Gardening is not only a way to produce nutritious food from our own containers and backyards, it also provides essential ways of reconnecting to ourselves, the earth, our food supply, and our community. Hands-on instruction with plants and seeds supplied.
The topics listed above on each date are general topics – but true gardening classes are also about addressing what is happening in the gardens of the participants. So each class will be covering additional topics relevant to the season at hand and the discussion of participants.
COST OF COURSE: $40 suggested donation to The Greenhouse Project. Drop-ins welcome, space allowing, for $10 per session. Donations Payable ONLINE HERE.
