Live Theatre – “The Queer Woods” – with Farm Arts Collective

September 27 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm EDT

The Greenhouse Project and Scranton Fringe Present Live Theatre In the Park!

Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025
6:00 pm Doors Open  |  7:00 pm Show Time

The Greenhouse Project in Nay Aug Park and Scranton Fringe again warmly welcome The Farm Arts Collective to Scranton to present live theatre in the park at The Greenhouse Project, 200 Arthur Ave., Scranton PA.

The Queer Woods
One part tree science lecture, one part queer literary history, and finally, a meditation on the wilderness as a celebration of diverse humanity and its infinite possibilities. What does it mean to be in a natural environment? What grows, what lives, what thrives in the space of uncultivated wildness?
Queer spaces are most often conceived as built environments; the bookstore, the club, a neighborhood full of rainbow flags. This talk proposes that forests, woodland meadows, and maybe even a large backyard have been there too, offering those of us who never quite fit in a place for self-discovery and acceptance.
Tickets $15.    Refreshments available for purchase.

Both Tannis and the board are committed to offering nourishment – both from the healthy food grown on the farm and from innovate art that speaks to important issues of the day.
