Walks begin promptly at 10 am, so please arrive early! Sorry, no pets allowed on these walks.
JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP RECREATION PARK, Mount Cobb
1.5 miles easy. “Orchids at the Pond” A lovely loop trail, newly created to showcase a pond, rhododendron grove and many species of wetland and woodland plants.
DIRECTIONS: From Route 81 North in Scranton, take the Casey Highway new Route 6 East to Exit 5, Jermyn. Turn left at end of exit ramp and go to traffic light on Washington Avenue. Turn left on Washington and go straight (there will be a fork to the left in a couple of blocks – do not take it) 2.9 miles to Staback Memorial Park (Archbald Regional Park) on right. Go to second parking lot on the right. Port-a-lav is available at the trailhead. GPS: Overlook Trail, Archbald, PA.
COST OF EVENT: $5 Suggested Donation. Payable in person or ONLINE HERE.Children under 16 – FREE. Greenhouse Project OAOA Members – FREE.
