The Electric City Flower Show
Saturday, June 10, 2023 – 10 am to 3 pm
(In Scranton’s Nay Aug Park)
The Greenhouse Project is Proud to help sponsor and 0articipate in Scranton’s annual flower show hosted by Nay Aug Park Recreation Municipal Authority. The public is welcome to come enjoy gardens throughout Nay Aug Park, watch competitions for blooms and floral designs (including children’s categories), listen to live music, and many free activities (see their website for more information). There will also be specialized growers and vendors alongside local gardening and environmental societies, charities and organizations.
During the hours of the show (10am-3pm) there will be custodians and volunteers welcoming you in the following gardens:
Monica Project Memorial Pollinator Garden
(Located at the rear of the James Barrett McNulty Greenhouse, home of the Greenhouse Project)
The R. N. Davis Memorial Rose Garden
(500 Arthur Avenue)
The Butterfly Garden
(Located next to St. Cats)
The Chestnut Grove
hosted by NY Chapter of The American Chestnut Foundation
(Located near the Everhart Museum, 11am – 2pm)
OTHER ACTIVITIES
Live Music. (In the Melody Garden. Times to be advertised). Acoustic Sessions

The Everhart Museum. is offering FREE ADMISSION!

Underground Miners
(At the 120-year-old Historic Brooks Drift Mine. Please note, the mine will NOT be open for tours)

The Black Watch Cafe. will be open for business as usual

Half hour presentations will be held by our vendors and guest speakers in the Gentile (near the Everhart Museum) from 10am until 3pm.
Pre-registration is not required but seating will be limited. Topics: Bonsai, Veggie gardening, 10 Pests and 10 Guests in the Garden, Pennsylvania Native Plants, Plant Naming, Mushrooms, Cut Flowers, All About Bees
