SUMMARY:Lenape Heritage Sign Dedication in Nay Aug Park
DESCRIPTION:Followed by The Sharing of Lenape Stories & Seeds\nSunday\, April 19\, 2026   (Begins at 12:00 noon)\nat The Greenhouse Project with Curtis Zunigha\n\n\n\n\n\nWe warmly invite you – on this weekend leading into Earth Day Week – to join us for a very special dedication in Nay Aug Park at The Greenhouse Project followed by the sharing of Lenape Stories and Seeds.\n \nSUNDAY\, APRIL 19\, 2026\nStarting at 12:00 Noon:        Interpretive Sign Dedication at The Greenhouse Project\n\nImmediately following:          Curtis Zunigha Shares Lenape Stories and Seeds\n\nCurtis Zunigha\, who visited The Greenhouse Project in 2024 to present a program on Indigenous Seeds\, will dedicate the new interpretive sign honoring the Spirit of Lenapehoking in Nay Aug Park and the spiritual connection the Lenape People have with Mother Earth.\n\nAfter the brief dedication\, you’ll be invited to The Greenhouse for a gathering of friends to hear about Lenape traditions and stories around the growing of food – and you’ll even have the chance to go home with some ancestral Lenape seeds to grow in your own garden.\n\nInformation about this joint project of The Greenhouse Project and The University of Scranton with much-appreciated funding from The Lackawanna Heritage Valley can be found on this page.\n\n\nCurtis Zunigha is an enrolled member of the Delaware Tribe of Indians in Oklahoma\, a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma\, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Through programs in culture and art\, he helps build understanding and community around the return of Lenape people to their ancestral homeland\, Lenapehoking\, after generations living through the traumas of forced removal. His programs are uplifting\, educational\, and seek to connect people through developing relationships with one another and with the earth.\n\n\n\n\n\nSponsored by:\nSponsored by: The Greenhouse Project & The University of Scranton\nWith Funding from:  The Lackawawnna Heritage Valley and The Lackawanna County Arts & Culture Department\nIn Partnership with:  Scranton Municipal Recreation Authority and The City of Scranton
