SUMMARY:Live Theatre - "The Queer Woods" - with Farm Arts Collective
DESCRIPTION:The Greenhouse Project and Scranton Fringe Present Live Theatre In the Park!  \nSaturday\, Sept. 27\, 2025\n6:00 pm Doors Open  |  7:00 pm Show Time\n\n\n\nThe Greenhouse Project in Nay Aug Park and Scranton Fringe again warmly welcome The Farm Arts Collective to Scranton to present live theatre in the park at The Greenhouse Project\, 200 Arthur Ave.\, Scranton PA. \nThe Queer Woods \nOne part tree science lecture\, one part queer literary history\, and finally\, a meditation on the wilderness as a celebration of diverse humanity and its infinite possibilities. What does it mean to be in a natural environment? What grows\, what lives\, what thrives in the space of uncultivated wildness?\n\nQueer spaces are most often conceived as built environments; the bookstore\, the club\, a neighborhood full of rainbow flags. This talk proposes that forests\, woodland meadows\, and maybe even a large backyard have been there too\, offering those of us who never quite fit in a place for self-discovery and acceptance.\n\nTickets $15.    Refreshments available for purchase.\nTickets: www.scrantonfringe.org/events/the-queer-woods\n\n\n\nTO GET YOUR TICKETS:\nTickets: www.scrantonfringe.org/events/the-queer-woodsLimited Seating so buy your ticket to secure your spot. \nQuestions?  Email us at greenhouseprojectoffice@gmail.com \n\n\nWHERE:\nThis Live Theatre program will be enjoyed in Nay Aug Park at The Greenhouse Project.\n200 Arthur Ave\, Scranton PA \nPlease leave time for parking. \nThanks to Scranton Fringe Festival\, Farm Arts Collective and to Mimi\, Jess\, Tannis.\nSpecial thanks to the Lackawanna County Department of Arts & Culture for making this program possible! \n  \n\n\nABOUT FARM ARTS COLLECTIVE: \nLocated at Willow Wisp Organic Farm in Damascus\, PA\, Farm Arts Collective offers diverse programs that intersect Art with Agriculture\, and are dedicated to engaging community in life-sustaining practices that improve and enhance rural life. \nFounded in 2018 by farmer and theatre artist\, Tannis Kowalchuk\, the company operates a greenhouse dedicated to farm-based workshops\, performances\, rehearsals\, education\, and community events.
