Sorry\, no pets allowed on these walks.\n\n\n\nMcDade Park\, Scranton PA\nSummer flowers will be our focus as we loop around the park’s perimeter. Easy to moderate 2-mile walk on pavement and natural surface\, smooth trails. \n\nDIRECTIONS:\nGPS Address:\n1 Bald Mountain Road\, Scranton\, PA\n \nDriving Directions:\nGo west on Mulberry Street to North Scranton Expressway. Go to Keyser Avenue Exit. At end of exit ramp\, turn left onto Keyser Avenue and go 3 miles to traffic light on Bald Mountain Road. Turn right on Bald Mountain Road (old Ransom Road) and go to McDade Park entrance. Turn right at entrance into park and immediately take first right into parking lot near pavilion and playground. \n\nIndoor restrooms available in the pavilion near parking lot.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCOST OF EVENT: $5 Suggested Donation. DESCRIPTION:New Class!  At Lackawanna State Park\n“Birding with Binoculars”\nSaturday\, June 28\, 2025 (7:30 AM) \n\n\n\nOK\, Early Birds!!  Tag along for a leisurely walk with Ranger Tony DeSantis as we look and listen for birds migrating through NEPA. We’ll learn to identify what we come across and discuss the natural history of different birds. This is geared to anyone who enjoys watching birds and interested in learning more about our feathered friends. \nLackawanna State Park is a great place for birdwatching because of its many habitats. You can see a variety of birds\, including waterfowl\, woodland birds\, and birds of prey. \nTerrain: flat\, along pavement and grass.  Binoculars will be provided or bring your own. \n  \nRegistration Required – and space is limited.\nTo register\, please email:  programs@scrantongreenhouse.org \nPayment in Advance is Required. \n\nCOST OF COURSE: \nFree for OAOA Members.\nAll others $10 suggested donation.
