Back for our 3rd year, this time on a Tuesday evening, join The Greenhouse Project for Vegetable Gardening 101, a beginners garden series led by certified permaculture designer Nick Kochis, and Master Gardener Jane Risse, as they answer questions on design options, planning for the season, organic strategies and more. Our monthly topics are timed for the optimal experience. This interactive hands on series is designed to teach gardeners the basics of growing a successful garden including planning, site preparation, growing from seed, planting, watering, weeding, fall gardens, harvesting and seed saving. It will sell out quickly.
WHEN: Six Tuesday evenings, all at 6 pm, each class is approx. 75 minutes.
Please arrive 10 minutes before start time.
April 2, 6 pm- Planning Your Garden
May 7th, 6 pm – Plant Propagation
June 4th, 6 pm – Planting Day
July 2nd, 6 pm – Maintaining Your Garden
Aug 6th, 6 pm – Harvesting
Sept 10th, 6 pm – Seed Saving
$10 per class.
Come get your hands dirty, bring your questions, and have fun. Bring water, sunscreen, insect repellent for outside classes.
